‘The Rage and the Rain’
The Rage from deep within
Gnaws at the numb existence.
Eats one alive
With the overpowering inferno
That we call anger and despair.
Curse the Gods that be,
As the excuse for such misfortune.
Why, is the question,
But no immediate relief.
Open wounds intake the poison
That Life’s cruelty has placed Upon two heavy shoulders.
Have mercy upon thy soul.
Half crazed with anxiety and the unknown.
But sensible enough to know that the Sun will shine again.
New growth and new Hope.
For The Rain will wash away the hurt.
Wash away the pain.
