The Dream Catchers

Yesterday I saw amazing artwork  that inspired me to write this poem. “The Dream Catchers” is the result of art inspiring art… artist inspiring artist. Thank you Mr. McMillon.

‘The Dream Catchers, Part 1’

Whatever happens to the ones gazing at a dream?
They scratch and claw their way through reality,
Which is a often a difficult road to travel.
They become the planners.
They become the thinkers.
And over time, they become strong.
Victorious in nature.
Peering through negative vibrations,
The gazers at a dream can still see their purpose,
Which is at the end of the road.

The gazers at a dream never say, “What if…”
The gazers at a dream always say, “I will…”
They set fire to a trail that will blaze behind them,
As they make their way forward.
Their arms are stretched out to embrace what’s theirs.
Whatever happens to the ones gazing at a dream?
They become The Dream Catchers.

They become you.
